Configuring the Mobile Drive

Configuring the Mobile Drive on Windows Vista, 7, 8

 

  1. On the LOCAL machine, open Windows Explorer, right-click on Computer, select Map network drive…

 


 

  1. Select the drive letter you would like to use and enter the Mobile Drive path:
     

The Mobile Drive paths are in the following format:

Access to the H:\Mobile Drive folder: https://DC-mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/CoCode/mobiledrive (example only.  Do not copy and paste.  Use your own unique credentials emailed to you by your IT service provider.)

Access to your personal Z: drive: https://DC -mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/CoCode/username  (example only.  Do not copy and paste.  Use your own unique credentials emailed to you by your IT service provider.)
 

  • Refer to the new cloud desktop notification email that you received from your IT provider.
  • Note the user name is only the first part of your Cloud Workspace user name.

Example: https://el1-mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/companycode/jsmith

 

Replace DC with your data center. (ex: EL1)

Replace companycode with the company code assigned to you, and username with the first part of your Cloud Workspace user name.

 

 

Example - htps://el1-mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/ABC/jsmith

  1. Select Reconnect at logon
  2. Select Connect using different credentials
  3. Click Finish
  4. At the login Prompt, use the same user name (ex. jsmith@demo), and password you use to connect to your Cloud Workspace.
  5. You can repeat this process to map two drives if needed, one to the H:\Mobile Drive folder and one to your personal Z: drive in the Cloud Workspace

 

 

Configuring the iIT Mobile Drive on Windows XP

 

In order to map a drive on Windows XP, a 3rd party client is required.

  1. Download the client from http://www.netdrive.net/download.html
  2. After the NetDrive client is installed, open the application.
  3. Click New Site

  1. Enter Mobile Drive for Site name

For Site IP or URL use one of the following depending on which drive you want to create

Access to the H:\Mobile Drive folder: https://DC-mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/CoCode/mobiledrive (example only.  Do not copy and paste.  Use your own unique credentials emailed to you by your IT service provider.)

Access to your personal Z: drive: https://DC -mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/CoCode/username (example only.  Do not copy and paste.  Use your own unique credentials emailed to you by your IT service provider.)

 

  • Refer to the new cloud desktop notification email that you received from your IT provider.
  • Note the user name is only the first part of your Cloud Workspace user name.

Example: https://el1-mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/companycode/jsmith

  1. Port: 80
  2. Server Type: WebDav
  3. Drive: Select the drive letter of your choice
  4. Account and Password: use the same user name (ex. jsmith@demo) and password you use to connect to your Cloud Workspace.
  5. If you want your Mobile Drive to always connect, select one of the two automatic login options.
  6. Click Connect.
  7. Your Mobile Drive will now appear.


Configuring the iIT Mobile Drive on MAC OSx

 

  1. With the Finder window open, Select the menu option GoèConnect to Server

 

 

  1. Enter the Server Address and click Connect

     

The server address is one of the following:

Access to the H:\Mobile Drive folder: https://DC-mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/CoCode/mobiledrive (example only.  Do not copy and paste.  Use your own unique credentials emailed to you by your IT service provider.)

Access to your personal Z: drive: https://DC -mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/CoCode/username (example only.  Do not copy and paste.  Use your own unique credentials emailed to you by your IT service provider.)
 

  • Refer to the new cloud desktop notification email that you received from your IT provider.
  • Note the user name is only the first part of your Cloud Workspace user name.

Example: https://el1-mobiledrive.cloudworkspace.me/companycode/jsmith

  1. When prompted, enter your complete Cloud Workspace username and password.

 

 

  1. Check Remember this password in my keychain
  2. Click Connect
  3. Your drive will appear under the Shared section in Finder
     

 

  1. To View your drive on the desktop, Select the menu option Finder Preferences
  2. Check Connected Servers
